It's a fantastic book about how American Honda's corporate sales managers demanded money from dealers in exchange for sending them more Hondas in the 1980s, when Honda had its meteoric growth period. It also details why Acura didn't quite take off like Lexus and Infiniti during that time as well. And a large part had to do with the scandal.

Neat! As a professional car-buying consultant these insider dealership stories fascinate me.

In that case, you'll definitely like reading this book. It should be at the local library.

I doubt that too. Manufacturers tend to be much more in control...unless the Yakuza get involved.

Its funny you mention the local library, my wife is a former "local librarian" and is now a full time mom. But I asked her to find it for me. :)

It's how I got my copy. The prices for the book now are insane on Amazon.
